STAR OF DAVID OR STAR OF REMPHAN?
The Jewish star, commonly referred to as the ‘Star of David,’ ‘Shield of David,’ or the ‘Seal of Solomon’ is a six-pointed hexagram star comprised of two overlaid equilateral triangles. This star is most closely identified with Jewish identity and appears on many things Jewish, including the flag of the State of Israel, clothing, jewelry, synagogues, tombstones, and many other Jewish items.
There is no Scripture reference to a ‘Star of David,’ ‘Shield of David,’ or a ‘Seal of Solomon.’ Mainstream Judaism acknowledges that they do not know where the Star of David symbol originated. Scripture does condemn a Jewish star.

The Star of David is not exclusively a Jewish symbol. This star appears in other cultures and religious practices dating back hundreds of years before the birth of the Messiah (Christ). The six-pointed hexagram star is used in Buddhism, Free Masonry, Hinduism, Kabala, the occult, Saturn worship, and witchcraft. The six-pointed hexagram star has been used as a talisman and for conjuring up spirits in Satanic occult magic [1].
It is quite evident that the Jews are still carrying a star of their god Remphan, which they still make for themselves today. While they may not acknowledge a ‘god’ associated with this star, this does not make it non-offensive to God who is holy, who does not allow His people to possess charms, idols, or talismans. Catholics have idols, mainstream Christians have Christmas trees (Jeremiah 10:1-5), and the Jews have talisman star charms, all in violation of God’s laws against idolatry.

During the 19th century, a significant motivating factor for adopting the hexagram star as a symbol of Israel and of the Jewish people was the desire to imitate the influence of the Christian cross [2]. Later when Israel disobeys God and allows the Canaanites to continue to live among them, the corruptive and seductive power of Canaanite sin results in the Canaanization of Israel. Subsequently, God sent prophets to warn Israel of their coming destruction, but they didn’t repent and God said that they became “like Sodom to me” and He visited destruction on Israel for committing the same sins. This again reveals that God’s motive isn’t genocide, but capital punishment. That we commit similar sins today renders us incapable of appropriate moral outrage against these sins and thus we accuse God of “genocide” to justify our own sinfulness.
